The faculty of the department have undertaken projects in the areas of mental health, educational psychology, personality development, sex education, secular attitude, resilience, learning and teaching styles, organizational processes, personality assessment, etc. Sponsored by Shivaji University, ICSSR, UGC, and other funding agencies. DR S. K. SHITOLE (M.A., SET, PH.D.) (HEAD OF DEPARTMENT):

He has been working since June 2002. He is a well-known speaker and counsellor. His counselling work in "Dil se dil ki bat" with RJ Rasika on Tomato FM radio is helpful to people. He is a BOS member in psychology at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, as well as Mahavir Mahavidyalaya, Kolhapur. He has more than 20 published research papers and more than 50 research paper presentations at the state, national, and international levels. He has completed two minor research projects under the Research Sensitization Scheme for College Students at Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He has more than 22 years of experience in teaching and research activities.

DR S. P. SANKAPAL (M.A., SET, NET, M.Phil., Ph.D., M.Ed., SET, NET, M.A. in Philosophy, DCGC from NCERT) 

He has been working since July 2010. He is a BOS member in psychology at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, as well as Mahavir Mahavidyalaya, Kolhapur. He is the co-author of 2 books, has over 16 published research papers, and has presented more than 36 research papers at the state, national, and international levels. He has completed one minor research project under the UGC scheme and one minor research project under the Distance Education, Shivaji University, research scheme. He has more than 15 years of experience in teaching and research activities. He is working as a research guide for PG students at IGNOU.
