There are many meetings held in the department at the beginning of the academic year, the semester ending, and the year ending. There are BoS meetings for syllabus construction and a syllabus subcommittee. There are some points regarding departmental meetings:

• Set an agenda and objectives for the meeting.
• Invite all relevant people. Meeting includes faculty, staff, and students.
• Prepare materials in advance. Handouts, presentations, or discussion questions.
• Start on time and stick to the agenda. Discuss with faculty, and staff
• Facilitate discussion and encourage participation.
• Take notes and follow up on action items.
