      History of Department

 Botany Department of Mahavir College Kolhapur is running academic programs at UG level with the support of four teachers.  Under graduate courses are offered at first and second year students general stream with only Botany as special subject at third year level.

The department started functioning with enrolling 12 students for the T. Y. B. Sc course and now it reaches upto 21 students with four teachers.  The laboratory is fully equipped with Laminar air Flow,  Centrifuge, Autoclave, Hotplates etc.
