By studying Printing and Publishing, students can gain a broad horizon in the field of printing. It includes the following elements.                                           

1) Understand flow, concept, scope, need of printing, understanding screen printing process their uses elements - cloth types, mesh types, mesh count. different screen-printing machines.

2) Understanding of conventional printing techniques their uses rollers and gears configurations learn about plate making materials use of registration marks

3) Understanding the basic knowledge of offset printing process and their all-offset units, basic information web- offset system web & sheet fed printing machines. study about registration, web- control, folders, dryers, chill rollers & their related parts, identifying the troubles.

4) Understanding various printing techniques - flexography, gravure, functions of packaging technology. understanding of various security features, materials and methods involved in security printing, types of security printing inks

5)  Understanding information hardware & software used in digital printing process electro-photography- inkjet, thermal transfer, absorbent & non-absorbent paper to gain the knowledge of digital printing process.

6) Understanding use of densitometer, spectrophotometer, various typeface, serif and strokes, learn about rough layout and final layout, color – wheel.  learn about word, powerpoint, excel.

7) Understanding printing press and quality control.. various properties of paper, paper manufacturing uses different light sources,

8) Understanding introduction to publishing technology, meaning and concept of manuscripts, technical requirements for e- publishing.

9) Understanding basic concepts of costing, printing , estimating and investment analysis estimating cost of printing materials and different processes for various print jobs
