History of Department

The department of Chemistry was established in the year 2016 and affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur. Department runs UG programme in Chemistry.

All the faculty of chemistry department explore full of chemistry knowledge having high qualification(P.hD) and active in research. The faculty desires to work towards higher qualifications. In a short span, the department has established three spacious laboratoriesand infrastructure for Physical, Inorganic and organic section. The department therefore attracts a large number of students for UG courses looking at the vast scope of the subject.

The student’s strength of the department has grown dramatically over the last few years. The focus of the department in the research base and develop collaborations with institutes of national and international repute in order to inculcate research methodology amongst its students.
